First Aid Courses

Emergency First Aid for Appointed Persons
(In accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations)
This course is run over one day at your site and includes both theory and practical sessions.

The syllabus includes:-
First Aid Priorities
Examination of a Casualty
Burns and Scalds
Recording and Reporting

Managing Incidents
Unconsciousness
Regulations

Basic Life Support
Control of Bleeding
First Aid Kits

Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student, there is no final exam. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for 3 years.

Please call for the cost of this course for up to 14 students. This includes certification and a manual for each student.

First Aid at Work [HSE] Approved
(In accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981)
Once qualified, holders of this certificate can be used as First Aiders in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. This course can be adapted to suit a particular audience i.e. clerical or engineering staff. The course is run over 4 days at your site and includes both theory and practical sessions.

The syllabus includes:-
First Aid Priorities
Examination
Fractures
Heart Attacks
Regulations

Managing Incidents
Unconsciousness
Common Illnesses
Eye Injuries
Recording and Reporting

Basic Life Support
Control of Bleeding
Burns and Scalds
Dressing
First Aid Kits

Certification is valid for 3 years, before expiry a re-qualification course will need to be undertaken. The re-qualification course takes place over 2 days.

Please call for the cost of the 4 day course and refresher course. This is for a group of up to 12 students and includes certification and a manual.
